A Dutch Masters-themed wedding at Dover Hall
In the late embrace of January, Lauren and Kyle tied the knot at Dover Hall, Virginia’s Luxury European Venue, nestled just outside of Richmond. Their vision was a Dutch Masters-themed wedding, brimming with luxurious details such as velvet linens, golden pears, and bust sculptures. The design was elevated by Lustre Theory's creative direction and editorial styling, with Lauren Kosteski, the bride, of Black Wren Studio overseeing the planning details. Their ceremony took place beneath a white-top tent on the idyllic Cobblestone Court, immortalized by Fine Art Photographer, David Abel.Â
Creative formalities, like the event's black tie attire and a Hotty Toddy welcome drink before the ceremony, set the tone. Signature libations, including a Sparkling Hibiscus Tequila for her and Bourbon Elderflower for him, graced the guests during cocktail hour, along with delights such as Maine Lobster Rolls, Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes, and New Zealand Lamb Chops.
The table design stole the show, with rich velvet linens in deep sapphire adding a luxurious touch, complemented by gold accents and candlelight to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each table was adorned with lush floral arrangements in shades of blue, blush white, and red, accentuated by delicate greenery and vessels filled with fruits and nuts, mirroring the color palette seen in Dutch Master’s paintings. A champagne toast and tableside wine service added elegance to the reception. As the night progressed, laughter and camaraderie culminated in arm wrestling, a nod to how Kyle and Lauren first met.
