a two-story reading room, inspired by the Biltmore Estate's library in Asheville, NC

The story of The Norman Conquest is hand carved carved on the large walnut FIREPLACE. This mantel was the first purchase for Dover Hall and was produced in Belgium between 1870 and 1885.

Overhead hangs a bronze regency CHANDELIER from a Gothic strapwork ceiling, detailed in plaster. ​

Many recessed PORTRAIT engravings around the room depict British monarchs from as early as the 11th century.

Look closely at the detailed BOOK CABINET panels; you'll find arts and literary Motifs engraved throughout.
